Preview: Venice vs. Westchester
Venice will head out on the road to square off against Westchester at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Venice will be strutting in after a victory while Westchester will be coming in after a loss.
On Monday, Venice kept a clean sheet against Hamilton. They came out on top against Hamilton by a score of 2-0.
Venice was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Brandon Moldanado and
Raul Peryanez, who scored.
Meanwhile, Westchester's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. Their rough 6-0 defeat to Los Angeles CES might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Westchester in their matchups with Los Angeles CES: they've now lost seven in a row.
Venice's victory bumped their record up to 6-4-1. As for Westchester, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
Venice took their victory against Westchester in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 9-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Venice since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
