Game recap: Forreston High School Football Team beats Alden-Hebron/Faith Lutheran

FORRESTON, Ill. - the Cardinals scored 21 points in the second quarter to secure a big 41-7 victory over Alden-Hebron/Faith Lutheran (Hebron, Ill.) on Saturday.

Forreston scored on a touchdown run, a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown in the quarter.

FHS was up 34-0 at the half after taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter.

The Cardinals expanded their lead to 41 points entering the fourth quarter. Forreston scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run.

The Green Giants' lone touchdown came on a pass in the fourth quarter.



FHS went into the matchup giving up only 10.6 points per game.

The defeat comes as a step back for Alden-Hebron/Faith Lutheran, which notched a 32-14 victory over Hope Academy in its previous outing. The win was a nice bounce back for the Cardinals, which lost to Pearl City-Eastland last week, 31-26. The loss snapped Alden-Hebron/Faith Lutheran's 3-game winning streak.
