Basketball Recap: Coventry Beats Narragansett for Their Second Straight Win

Narragansett came into Wednesday's match looking for another win against Coventry, but Tyler Broady wouldn't allow it. The Coventry Oakers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Narragansett Mariners on Wednesday, sneaking past 52-50 thanks in part to Broady, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. Broady is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.

The win made it two in a row for Coventry and bumps their season record up to 9-6. As for Narragansett, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Coventry will venture away from home to square off against South Kingstown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Coventry is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.9 points per game this season. As for Narragansett, they will be playing at home against North Providence at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. North Providence will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Narragansett surely won't give up without a fight.
