St. Clair County waltzed into their match on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Everything went their way against the John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers as they made off with a 16-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Saints, who have now won 16 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

St. Clair County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-13-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for John Carroll Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-22.

As of now, neither St. Clair County nor the Cavaliers have any future games scheduled.
