Basketball Game Preview: Nicollet Raiders vs. Medford Tigers

After both having extra time off, the Nicollet Raiders and the Medford Tigers will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Nicollet is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Martin County West just ended the team's three-game winning streak last Friday. They lost 71-47 to the Mavericks. The matchup marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Medford was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Waterville-Elysian-Morristown and fell 63-28. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 389th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 151st).

Nicollet's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Medford, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
