Basketball Recap: Sierra Falls Despite Big Games from Amari Redwine and Kayden Jacobi + How To Watch

Sierra extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-5. They received a blow as they fell 50-34 to the Pueblo East Eagles. The Stallions lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 72-30 score last time.

Sierra's loss came despite strong showings from Kayden Jacobi and Amari Redwine. Jacobi posted six points and six boards, while Redwine scored ten points.

As for Pueblo East, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The game was the first time they have beaten Sierra on their court since December 5, 2019.

Among those leading the charge was Javen Sisneros, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 15 points and three steals. What's more, he also posted a 71% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Micah Herring was another key player, putting up nine points and five steals.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sierra won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Canon City at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pueblo East, they will be home for the holidays to greet Widefield at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' defense better be ready for this one: the Gladiators have averaged an impressive 66.7 points per game this season.
