Orrick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 36th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 29-8 to the La Monte Vikings. On the bright side, the eight- run performance marked the Bearcats' highest-scoring match to date.

Elana Boude was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Hahn, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Orrick's loss dropped their record down to 0-21. As for La Monte, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-9.

Coincidentally, Orrick and La Monte will both be playing Smithton the next time they take the field. The Bearcats will host the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Vikings will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
