Basketball Recap: Chadron Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Douglas

Chadron's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 67-59 win over the Douglas Bearcats. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Cardinals' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 133rd in Nebraska, while the Bearcats are ranked eighth in Wyoming).

Chadron now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Douglas, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chadron will host Sidney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Douglas, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Torrington at 7:00 p.m.
