Aaron (Aj) Brand Jr. Dazzles in Irmo Win

Aaron (Aj) Brand Jr. was instrumental in extending Irmo's winning streak to seven on Friday. Brand Jr. was unstoppable, rushing for 210 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also throwing for 120 yards while completing 75% of his passes. Those 210 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

River Bluff's probably not too fond of Brand Jr. given he always seems to get the better of them. Brand Jr. threw for 204 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Gators duked it out back in September of 2023.

Tanner Short Turns in Season-Best Performance

Chapin came up short on Friday despite Tanner Short delivering his best game to date. Short picked up two sacks and made 14 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

If the past is any indication, Short could be in store for another big game when he takes on River Bluff on Friday. Short picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles (5.0 for loss) the last time he and the Gators duked it out back in October of 2023.

Dutch Fork Wins 14th-Straight Thanks to Maurice Anderson

Maurice Anderson's big game helped extend Dutch Fork's winning streak to 14 on Friday. Anderson wasn't messing around, rushing for 81 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 68 receiving yards and a touchdown. The match was his third straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season.

Dutch Fork's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Anderson and Dutch Fork will head out on the road to square off against Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Martin Came Up Big in Chapin's 33-32 Defeat

Cole Martin posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 59 receiving yards.

This year, Martin has averaged 45.1 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 5.71 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 80.86 rushing yards.

Dutch Fork picked up their 14th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Ethan Offing. Offing was dynamite, rushing for 55 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 202 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2023.

This season, Offing has thrown 11 touchdowns (and and only 2 picks) while averaging 212.8 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had two passing touchdowns.
