Basketball Game Preview: Durango Demons vs. Palisade Bulldogs

The Durango Demons just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Palisade Bulldogs at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Durango has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Durango beat Grand Junction Central 74-68. The victory continues a trend for the Demons in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Palisade fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Montrose on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Red Hawks by a score of 45-43. The Bulldogs were up 21-5 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Durango's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Palisade, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Durango strolled past Palisade in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 61-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Durango since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
