Softball Recap: Center Grove Trojans vs. Greenwood Woodmen
Center Grove waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Everything went their way against the Greenwood Woodmen as they made off with a 15-3 victory. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by nine runs or more this season.
Kara Biever looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Sydney Herrmann was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mae Munson, who went 4-for-6 with three stolen bases and three runs.
