Basketball Recap: Kotzebue Takes a Loss

Kotzebue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Kenai Central Kardinals 71-38. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-36 two weeks ago.

Kotzebue's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Kenai Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kotzebue and Nikiski will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Kenai Central, they will face off against Barrow at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Barrow has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
