Baseball Recap: Ellicott Comes Up Short

Ellicott was the 16-1 winner over Clear Creek when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Thunderhawks took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golddiggers on Saturday.

Ellicott's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13-1. As for Clear Creek, their record is now 6-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ellicott will take on Colorado Springs Christian on Monday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Thunderhawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clear Creek, they will face off against Platte Canyon at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Golddiggers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
