Basketball Recap: Cheyton Marshall Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat North

Burncoat hadn't done well against North recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Everything went the Burncoat Patriots' way against the North Polar Bears as the Burncoat Patriots made off with a 74-53 win. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 21 points or more this season.

Burncoat's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cheyton Marshall led the charge by putting up 21 points. Those 21 points gave Marshall a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Johnson, who posted 19 points.

Burncoat's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for North, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burncoat will take on Doherty Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
