Baseball Recap: Point Pleasant Beach Comes Up Short

Point Pleasant Beach lost against Manasquan back in May of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Garnet Gulls came up short against the Warriors, falling 8-2. The match marked the Garnet Gulls' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Point Pleasant Beach saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was DANNY LUBACH, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Point Pleasant Beach has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-5 record this season. As for Manasquan, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

While Point Pleasant Beach had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
