The Juniata Indians will head out on the road to take on the Upper Dauphin Area Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Wednesday, Juniata didn't have quite enough to beat Line Mountain and fell 6-5.
Bryce Harlon was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Harlon was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Caleb Auker and Daylyn Kennedy stepped up to the plate in a big way. Auker went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI, while Kennedy went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Upper Dauphin Area suffered their closest loss since April 23, 2025 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Greenwood by a score of 3-1. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Upper Dauphin Area saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Minier, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles. Hunter Grassmyer also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Juniata now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Upper Dauphin Area, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Upper Dauphin Area's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Juniata has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Upper Dauphin Area, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 strikeouts. Will Juniata keep running through batters, or will the Trojans buck the trend?
Juniata couldn't quite get it done against Upper Dauphin Area when the teams last played back in May of 2025 as they fell 10-6. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
