Sandy Creek proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 21) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They slipped by the Mt. Markham Mustangs 8-7. For the Comets, this counts as revenge for the 9-6 victory the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Sandy Creek's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Mt. Markham, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sandy Creek will square off against rival Lowville at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. Meanwhile, Mt. Markham is set to take on their familiar foe Herkimer at 1:00 p.m. on October 4.
