Football Recap: Mountain Home Sets Scoring Season-High Against Gooding + How To Watch

Mountain Home had lost four straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-4 to make it five. They fell 23-13 to the Gooding Senators. On the bright side, the 13- point effort marked the Tigers' highest-scoring matchup to date.

As for Gooding, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.0 points over those games.

Gooding's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cougar Stockham led the charge by throwing for 180 yards and one TD, while also rushing for 84 yards. Another rusher making a difference was Rio Curtis, who rushed for 82 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Home will host Twin Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Bruins have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Gooding, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Buhl at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
