Preview: Glen Allen Jaguars vs. Godwin Eagles
Glen Allen and Godwin are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Glen Allen Jaguars' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Godwin Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Godwin took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Glen Allen, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Glen Allen didn't have too much trouble with Freeman on the road as they won 59-44.
Glen Allen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Faron Friend, who scored 24 points along with 5 rebounds. The game was Friend's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Granderson, who scored 12 points along with 8 steals.
Meanwhile, Godwin unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 67-60 to Henrico. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Glen Allen's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Godwin, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Glen Allen was able to grind out a solid win over Godwin when the teams last played back in February, winning 62-52. Does Glen Allen have another victory up their sleeve, or will Godwin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
