Baseball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Northwest easily dispatched Comeaux on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Raiders fell just short of the Hicks Pirates by a score of 5-3 on Friday.

Hayden Brown was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Brown is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Northwest's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Hicks, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Northwest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-0 loss against Grace Christian on the 20th. As for Hicks, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dodson at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday.
