Flag Football Game Preview: Willow Spring Storm vs. Leesville Road Pride

The Willow Spring Storm will take on the Leesville Road Pride at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Willow Spring comes in on ten and Leesville Road on seven.

Willow Spring is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They breezed past Broughton to the tune of 33-0. The Storm might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

A big part of Willow Spring's victory came down to the chemistry between Aly Sauerbrei and her top target Jazlyn Moody. Sauerbrei threw for 107 yards and three TDs while Moody gained 49 total yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, it may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Leesville Road ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Cleveland 16-15. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Pride were the better team in the second half.

Willow Spring's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Leesville Road, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.
