After having lost a blowout in their previous game against James Buchanan, Delone Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Biglerville Canners 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Squires have posted against the Canners since May 1, 2019.

The team relied heavily on Zach Staub, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Aiden Groft also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Delone Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Biglerville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delone Catholic will face off against St. John's Catholic Prep at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Biglerville, they will head out to square off against James Buchanan at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
