White Mountains came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 14-10 victory over the Newfound Regional Bears. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

White Mountains' win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Newfound Regional, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

White Mountains will square off against Mascoma at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Royals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.43 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of. Newfound Regional will be paying especially close attention to White Mountains' game: after White Mountains faces off against Berlin, they'll take on Newfound Regional again at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
