The Northwestern Lehigh Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Lehighton Indians at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Lehighton took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Northwestern Lehigh, who comes in off a win.
While Northwestern Lehigh's win against Jim Thorpe wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 14-13 victory over the Olympians on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Watson Church, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cannon Fitch, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Lehighton didn't have quite enough to beat Saucon Valley on Tuesday and fell 2-1. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lehighton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Dietz, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Northwestern Lehigh's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2. As for Lehighton, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Lehighton's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Northwestern Lehigh has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Lehighton, though, as they've been averaging only 4 strikeouts. Will Northwestern Lehigh keep running through batters, or will the Indians buck the trend?
Northwestern Lehigh came up short against Lehighton in their previous matchup back in May of 2016, falling 8-3. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
