Soccer Game Preview: Dayspring Christian Academy vs. Virginia Academy

The Dayspring Christian Academy Lions will take on the Virginia Academy Patriots in a tournament on Thursday.

Dayspring Christian Academy is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against New Covenant back in April. The Lions fell 3-1 to the Gryphons.

Meanwhile, Virginia Academy hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. They came out on top against Providence by a score of 3-1. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Virginia Academy's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 17th in Virginia, while Providence are ranked 104th in South Carolina).

Sabrina Castellanos and Emme Kuykendall scored all three of Virginia Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 48 goals.

Dayspring Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for Virginia Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-0-1.
