Soccer Game Preview: Central Cambria vs. Penn Cambria

Central Cambria is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Westmont Hilltop on Monday. The Red Devils fell just short of the Hilltoppers by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that Central Cambria have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Penn Cambria ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop Carroll, sneaking past 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Penn Cambria were the better team in the second half.

Nick Marshall was the driving force of Penn Cambria's attack as he scored both of Penn Cambria's goals, bringing his season total up to 16 goals.

Central Cambria's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-1. As for Penn Cambria, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.

Central Cambria was able to grind out a solid victory over Penn Cambria when the teams last played back in September, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
