 The Perry Commodores are on the road again  on Tuesday to play the Elgin Comets at 5:00  p.m.
 On Monday, Perry didn't have quite enough to beat Waynesfield-Goshen and fell  4-2.
 Perry saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Tate Essex, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Elgin entered their tilt with Upper Scioto Valley with four consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with five. They skirted past the Rams  4-2.
  Mitchell Askew spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered  just two earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.
 At the plate,  Jacob Isler was  excellent,  going 1-for-4 with a  triple, two  RBI,  and a  run.  Quientin Harrison was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
 Perry's loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1. As for Elgin, their win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 8-4.
 Perry suffered a grim  12-2 defeat to Elgin  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2023. Can Perry avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
