Recap: Paw Paw Pirates vs. Union Tigers
The Paw Paw Pirates won against the Union Tigers on Thursday with 55 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Paw Paw walked away with a 55-47 win over Union. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Paw Paw.
Donavan Tanouye went supernova for Paw Paw, scoring 28 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Greyson Corbett, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Paw Paw's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Union, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paw Paw will take on Salisbury Elk Lick at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Union will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tygarts Valley at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
