Basketball Game Preview: San Luis Obispo Tigers vs. Mission College Prep Royals

The San Luis Obispo Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Mission College Prep Royals at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

San Luis Obispo will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Arroyo Grande, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. San Luis Obispo came out on top against Arroyo Grande by a score of 72-63 on Friday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Eagles are ranked 356th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mission College Prep). They claimed a resounding 92-29 victory over Templeton. The Royals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 25 points or more this season.

San Luis Obispo has also been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Mission College Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 19-6.

San Luis Obispo beat Mission College Prep 66-56 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Luis Obispo since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
