Basketball Recap: Walsh Jesuit Takes a Loss

Walsh Jesuit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by the Perry Panthers 80-53. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 486th, while the Panthers are ranked 233rd).

It was another big night for Luke Wolf, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points along with five boards and five steals for Perry. With that strong performance, Wolf is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Darnell Mcleod, who posted 12 points and six assists.

Walsh Jesuit's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Perry, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Walsh Jesuit has already played their next match, a 62-55 defeat against St. Vincent-St. Mary on the 4th. As for Perry, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 75-59 loss against Jackson on the 4th.
