Softball Preview: Northwest Mounties vs. Clinton Redwolves        
        
		
            
 The Northwest Mounties will be playing in front of their home fans against the Clinton Redwolves at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Northwest comes in on 14 and Clinton on four.
 Northwest is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout  on Thursday, just like they did against Hastings (and have done all season long). Northwest never let Hastings onto the board and left with  a   19-0  win  on Tuesday.
  Izzy Rogers was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and only one walk). Rogers has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Rogers was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Ava Golightly was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole four bases while going 4-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last 14 times she's  played.  Addi Moore was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run, four  RBI,  and a  double.
 Meanwhile,  after only one  run in their last  contest, Clinton made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Napoleon  on Friday. Clinton was the clear victor by  a  15-3 margin over Napoleon.
 Northwest's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 14-2. As for Clinton, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
 Northwest took their  victory against Clinton  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2021 by a conclusive  7-0. Does  Northwest have another victory up their sleeve, or will Clinton turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
