Volleyball Recap: Sullivan Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Sullivan lost against Monticello back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Redskins fell just short of the Sages by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Sullivan sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 20-25, 25-8.

Despite the loss, Sullivan still got an impressive performance from Mya Dyer, who had 21 digs and two assists.

Monticello was led to victory by Emma Arnold and Sadie Walsh. Arnold had seven digs and six assists, while Walsh had nine digs. That's the most digs Arnold has posted over her last seven matches. Kami Churchill also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Sullivan has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Monticello, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Sullivan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Arcola on the 23rd. As for Monticello, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Rantoul on the 25th.
