Baseball Recap: Robinson Comes Up Short

Robinson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Armwood Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Tommy Fitzgerald made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Collin Rosenberg, who scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Robinson's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Armwood, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15.

Looking ahead, Robinson will welcome Plant at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Armwood, they are taking a road trip to take on Blake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
