Grand Ledge has gone 9-0-1 against East Lansing recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Comets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. East Lansing took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Grand Ledge, who comes in off a win.

Grand Ledge not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 2, 2024. They put the hurt on Mt. Pleasant with a sharp 13-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Comets.

Meanwhile, East Lansing didn't have quite enough to beat Williamston on Saturday and fell 4-3. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jean-Michael Smith made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Paul Van Dam, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

East Lansing's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Grand Ledge, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Grand Ledge took their victory against East Lansing in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-0 score. Do the Comets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
