Horse Creek Academy is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Fox Creek just ended the team's five-game winning streak last Monday. They fell just short of the Predators by a score of 3-2. One reason for the loss might be Horse Creek Academy's aggressive play style: three Horse Creek Academy players were handed yellow cards.

Tyler Simpkins wasn't going to let Fox Creek walk away unscathed as he scored both of Horse Creek Academy's goals, bringing his season total up to seven goals.

Meanwhile, American Leadership Academy kept a clean sheet against Ridge Spring-Monetta on Monday. They skirted past the Trojans 1-0. The victory was a breath of fresh air for American Leadership Academy as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Horse Creek Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for American Leadership Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
