Football Recap: Hellgate Takes a Loss

If Hellgate was feeling good fresh off their 35-14 takedown of Capital last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights lost 36-10 to the Butte Bulldogs on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost nine in a row.

Vince Paffhausen threw for 61 yards on six of 14 attempts. Evan Pyron was his top target, picking up 49 receiving yards.

Hellgate's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Butte, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

Coming up, Hellgate will face off against Helena at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Butte, they will challenge Capital at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Bulldogs will be up against the Bruins' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.38 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
