Tri-Valley recap November 5, 2013

Santa Paula lost to Carpinteria 28-11 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Nordhoff made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 899 from 1,097. The advance stemmed from a 20-17 victory over Bishop Diego last week.

Tayler Livingston was the best running back in Tri-Valley this week. He ran for 77 yards on 25 carries as the Rangers bested the Cardinals. Brandon Wadsworth also contributed to the rushing game with 36 yards on the ground.

Going into this week's contest against the Warriors, Oak Park's Chandler Whitbord needs 6 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season. Accruing a total of 29 touchdowns this year, Whitbord has thrown for 1,994 yards with 4 interceptions.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Carpinteria takes on the Eagles. As it stands, Ben Hallock's team is in third, while Oak Park is in first.

The Warriors led the league in scoring this week by notching 28 points on the Cardinals.
