Softball Recap: Belgrade Wins Going Away Against Capital

Belgrade hadn't done well against Capital recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Bruins. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 10-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Belgrade got a big performance out of Peyton Main, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Bailee White was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Belgrade kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Capital only managed four hits.

Belgrade moved to 8-4-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Capital, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Coming up, Belgrade will square off against Skyview at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.4 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Capital, they will challenge Hellgate at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
