Avery Briggs commands the offense for Bulldogs win

Recap: Quinter Bulldogs vs. Hoxie Indians

Even though the Quinter Bulldogs have not done well against the Hoxie Indians recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Quinter walked away with a 49-37 victory over Hoxie. Given Quinter's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Hoxie is ranked 241st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Quinter's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avery Briggs, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Packard, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.

Quinter is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Hoxie, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Quinter will head out on the road to face off against Dighton at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Dighton will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. As for Hoxie, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Goodland on January 27th. Goodland will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
