Softball Game Preview: Cascade Bruins vs. Jackson Timberwolves

Cascade hasn't had much luck against Jackson recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bruins are taking a road trip to challenge the Timberwolves at 4:00 p.m. Neither Cascade nor Jackson posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Tuesday, Cascade came up short against Kamiak and fell 4-1.

Mia Walker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Jackson fell victim to Kamiak and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 6-0 to the Knights.

Cascade's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Jackson, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Cascade suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Jackson in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Bruins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
