Preview: Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors vs. Zarephath Academy Eagles
After two games on the road, Trinity Christian Academy is heading back home. They will take on the Zarephath Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Trinity Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday.
Trinity Christian Academy struggled with threes on Tuesday (Stanton had five more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Trinity Christian Academy fell 61-51 to Stanton.
Trinity Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ethan Wheeler, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds, and Cameron Anderson who scored 11 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Wheeler scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Martinez, who scored 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Zarephath Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They had just enough and edged Warner Christian Academy out 82-80. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Zarephath Academy as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Trinity Christian Academy bumped their record down to 9-5 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Zarephath Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
