Everything went their way against the Logansport Berries on Friday as they made off with an 11-1 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tigers have posted against the Berries since April 24, 2015.
Peru got a massive performance out of Lucas Musser, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most doubles Musser has posted since back in May of 2024. William Rodriguez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Peru was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.
Peru's record is now 3-4. As for Logansport, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Peru will venture away from home to challenge Bellmont at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Logansport, they will welcome Benton Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
