Basketball Recap: Frontier Falcons vs. West Central Trojans
Frontier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the West Central Trojans 58-16. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 366th, while the Trojans are ranked 157th).
West Central found their leader in sophomore Madisyn DeMoss, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points DeMoss has scored all season. Kailee Bishop was another key player, putting up 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Frontier's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for West Central, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frontier will take on Caston in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Central and Tri-County will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tri-County will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something West Central surely won't give up without a fight.
