Volleyball Recap: Cherokee Christian Takes a Loss

Cherokee Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Fideles Christian Rangers. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rangers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2018.

Fideles Christian can attribute much of their success to Sophia Claire Head, who had eight digs and two aces. What's more, Head posted two assists, the most she's had since back in September of 2024.

Cherokee Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Fideles Christian, the win was the 20th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Cherokee Christian will challenge Valor Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fideles Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Trinity Prep on the 9th.
