Football Recap: Minooka Comes Up Short

The Minooka Indians took a blow against the Romeoville Spartans on Monday, falling 46-12. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Spartans are ranked 30th).

Milan Cadet produced another solid performance picking up 257 receiving yards and four scores for Romeoville. Cadet is crushing it when it comes to receiving yards: she's posted at least 101 every time she's taken the field this season. Jenna Jarmus was another key player, throwing for 339 yards and six TDs while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt.

Minooka's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Romeoville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Minooka has already played their next game, a 20-18 defeat against Plainfield North on the 10th. As for Romeoville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 19-12 loss against Joliet West on the 10th.
