Volleyball Recap: Boardman's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Boardman waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Salem Quakers. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Quakers, too.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-13, 25-20.

Leading Boardman to victory were Emma Terlesky and Sadie Satterfield. Terlesky had 15 assists and two aces, while Satterfield had ten digs and two assists. Terlesky is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Addie Volosin also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Boardman was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Salem only served six.

When it comes to explaining why Salem lost, don't look at Angeline Hoffaker. Despite the final result, she had nine digs and three aces.

Boardman's record is now 13-5. As for Salem, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, Boardman and Salem will both be playing Crestview the next time they take the court. The Quakers will head out to face the Rebels at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, while the Spartans will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
