Football Recap: DeSales Irish vs. Touchet Redhawks
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask DeSales). They claimed a resounding 86-7 victory over the Touchet Redhawks at home. Fans of the Irish have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead DeSales to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cohen Wood, who rushed for 96 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 72 yards and a touchdown. Wood is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Caleb Bingham was another major influence, as he rushed for 117 yards and ran in a TD.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DeSales will face off against Sunnyside Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. DeSales' defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so Sunnyside Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Touchet, they will challenge Liberty Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Christian will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Touchet surely won't give up without a fight.
