Volleyball Recap: Corvian Community Wins Going Away Against Jackson Day + How To Watch

Corvian Community barely beat Jackson Day the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cardinals blew past the Mariners 3-0 on Monday. The Cardinals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mariners, too.

Corvian Community never let Jackson Day on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 26-24, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Peyton Church, who had 12 digs and three aces. She has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last six times she's played.

Church wasn't the only good server: Corvian Community was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Corvian Community's record is now 3-1. As for Jackson Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Corvian Community will be playing at home against Langtree Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson Day, they will head out to square off against Sugar Creek Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mariners are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
