Basketball Recap: Legacy Early College Falls Short Against Ranked Winter Haven

Legacy Early College is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Winter Haven. The Legacy Early College Lions took a 64-45 bruising from the Winter Haven Blue Devils.

It was another big night for Serenity Hardy, who posted 22 points and three steals for Winter Haven. Hardy's evening made it ten games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Quin?Nya Gray De Sanders was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Legacy Early College's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Winter Haven, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Legacy Early College will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rabun Gap-Nacoochee at 6:15 p.m. on January 14th. As for Winter Haven, they will take on Cardinal Mooney at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
