Softball Recap: Summit Takes a Loss

Summit suffered their closest loss since March 3rd on Friday. They fell just short of the Page Patriots by a score of 9-7. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Audrey Cathey was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Tarek Scherr, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Summit's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Page, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Summit didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-2 victory against Centennial on the 25th. As for Page, they have also already played their next game, a 5-2 win against Nolensville on the 25th.
